Join us for Voices 2025, Communities Rise’s annual fundraiser!
Come for an evening building community space and relationships. With just a very light program, we invite you to enjoy delicious food, cocktails, and connection. In the current political environment, we want to provide a place for rest and connection, while also raising crucial dollars to support organizations under threat.
Nonprofits and small businesses in Washington State are facing emerging legal and financial threats in the current political context. Tickets and all additional donations from this event will raise money for The RISE Fund. The RISE Fund allows us to provide free legal and capacity building services to mission-driven organizations. Communities Rise offers three key components for organizations to stay strong in service of their communities:
Legal protection: Nonprofit and small business leaders need legal resources to protect their organizations from inappropriate government enforcement. Communities Rise matches organizations with volunteer attorneys to reduce legal risks and meet basic operating requirements.
Organizing Capacity: Every organization has the potential to make crucial policy changes at the local, state, and federal levels. Communities Rise offers legal support and strategic skill building to strengthen lobbying, advocacy, and community power.
Sustainable funding: Organizations need sustainable funding sources to keep their employees and maintain or grow their programming. Communities Rise offers fundraising and grant writing clinics, technical assistance, and trainings to increase access to funds for under resourced communities.
This year, our goal is to reach $100,000, and the first $20,000 donated will be matched 2:1 by our generous sponsors. Donate today! We won’t be making a typical fundraising ask at the event, so this is your opportunity to help us meet our goals.
