After four incredible cohorts and an unforgettable decade, RVC’s Community Impact Fellowship is ending for the foreseeable future.
Fellowship was RVC’s flagship program, launched in 2015 to support BIPOC nonprofit leaders and grassroots community-based organizations throughout King County. To date, our fellowship has supported 67 fellows and 42 organizations of color.
As many of you know, RVC is also a fiscal sponsor. As RVC grapples with the reality of a funding cliff in the upcoming fiscal year, we have had to make some tough decisions that will allow us to continue providing essential services to our fiscally sponsored partners. As part of our internal discussions, the co-executive directors determined that RVC would not be able to sustain the Fellowship staff and program in the coming fiscal year due to resource constraints.
Shifts in RVC’s financial and operating capacity mean we have to restructure and downsize as an organization – you can read the official blog post about the transition. The Fellowship Team will be transitioning out of RVC throughout April.
We are hopeful that the Community Impact Fellowship program can return in the future. Until then, thank you to our amazing staff, partners, alumni, and donors for being part of CI’s legacy.

Fellowship’s Farewell…for now
RVC’s fellowship team recently recorded a farewell podcast to capture our experience running the program and parting advice to our community.
Stay in touch with the Fellowship Team!

Christian Moore (he/him) was RVC’s Fellowship Program Lead. For his next step, Christian is interested in opportunities to build and scale programs, support the development of internal staff, or create curriculum. He is also open to consulting and coaching opportunities. You can reach out to Christian on LinkedIn to stay in touch.

Karina (she/they) was RVC’s Fellowship Program Coordinator. For their next step, Karina is seeking opportunities to continue supporting emerging BIPOC leaders. This could look like facilitating, developing programs, and supporting others through supervision, coaching, or mentorship. They’re also excited to be more out in the community with their free time, so hit them up if you have an event or volunteer opportunity! You can add Karina on LinkedIn to stay in touch.

Yecelica (they/them) was RVC’s Fellowship Team Lead. For their next step, yjv’s taking a couple months off and to travel. When back in July, they’re looking forward to opportunities that support their continued leadership growth and interested in building and supervising teams, leadership development, community engagement, entering philanthropy or possibly a career change! Connect with me on LinkedIn to stay in touch.
