Right now, many communities of color — especially immigrant and refugee communities — are under attack. Our communities face an immediate threat, and we must come together in order to make our voices heard.
Voices of color are vastly underrepresented in our country’s leadership, so the responsibility falls on the communities themselves to organize and demand seats at the decision-making table. Our voices are critical to making equitable decisions that support all people, regardless of income, race, gender, or ability.
Our collaborations and partnerships
- Communities Rise and RVC Seattle: As two capacity building organizations in Seattle, we partner with Communities Rise to support each other’s efforts in strengthening leaders of color in our communities. You can read more about our current collaboration in this blog post.
- Equitable Intermediaries Cohort: As part of this national cohort, RVC works alongside other intermediary organizations and funders to explore how we can better advocate for the importance of intermediary and capacity building work within the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. - Delta Vision Project: A local group of BIPOC by-and-for capacity building organizations, Delta works as a thinktank to gather feedback from community partners, plan actionable supports for BIPOC leaders, and build stronger systems of collaboration across our community and local sector. - Magic Cabinet: We collaborated with Magic Cabinet to launch their first fiscally-sponsored cohorts in the Puget Sound, advocating for the importance to supporting fiscally sponsored projects. Check out this post from Magic Cabinet to learn more about the impacts of this partnership.
