Salary:  $57,000 – $70,000/year

Summary of position

RVC is searching for a dynamic person to provide program management support to the growing Operations Support Program. This Operations Support Program Manager (PM) will be joining a team that provides Model A fiscal sponsorship services to 14+ BIPOC-led non-profit partners by supporting their administrative, human resources, finance, and legal needs. As a PM, you will manage a small portfolio of partnerships, provide supervision to a portion of the team, and develop program procedures and systems to strengthen program service delivery.  A successful candidate for this role will have a lived and deep connection to the Seattle BIPOC community; have experience in nonprofit administration, human resources,  and/or finance;  be committed to upholding RVC’s values and mission; be interested in working in our self-management model of shared leadership; and have a deep desire to engage in professional development throughout the year.

Essential Responsibilities

Operations Support Partner Organization Support (50%)

  • Manage a portfolio of 3 to 4 partner organizations acting as the primary point of contact in receiving operations support, maintaining a high level of responsiveness and building strong, trusting relationships
  • Facilitate onboarding of new partner organizations, ensuring that they feel well-supported
  • Act as a liaison as needed for partner organizations to external stakeholders ie. potential funders, contract monitors, consultants

Operations Support Program Management (40%)

  • Supervise Operations Support Program Associates/ Program Managers, providing excellent staff coaching and training
  • Assist in hiring and training of new Operations Support Program Associate/ Managers
  • Lead program manager of partner financial systems, acting as a liaison with our external accounting team, ensuring that all paperwork and reports are high-quality and timely, and coaching operations support program staff and partner organizations on their budgets and financial practices
  • Assist in determining the Operations Support Program budget and plan strategically for the program’s growth
  • Ensure all legal paperwork, licensing, insurance, and other aspects of organizational operations are properly maintained
  • Ensure that operations program support partners finance, human resource, and legal systems are efficient and user-friendly, strategically assessing them regularly and making improvements
  •  Play a key role in developing RVC’s operations support program
  • Take the lead on special projects to research and improve various aspects of the support RVC provides to partner organizations

Organizational Operations (10%)

These are organization-wide responsibilities. All staff hold the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in staff meetings, attend community events, and otherwise contribute to strengthening the deep roots within our community, both internally and externally

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years experience working with BIPOC-lead and grassroots organizations, community organizing, operations management, and/or a closely-related field.  
  • 2+  years of experience in non-profit accounting, financial, and operations management in BIPOC-led or grassroot organizations.
  • Understanding of 501(c)3 and Model A fiscal sponsorship regulations and the ability to develop systems and procedures to maintain compliance and strong service delivery. 
  • High emotional intelligence, able to easily develop deep, trusting relationships with diverse individuals from many different background
  • Ability to shift communication and consulting styles to fit needs of a wide range of cultures, people, and organizations
  • Can remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations while keeping a cool head 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to draft emails, policies and procedures, and review contracts. 
  • An eye for creating efficiencies and keeping track of details, especially in relation to budgets and developing program systems. 
  • Comfortable with computers  and a variety of online platforms.
  • Able to work some evenings and weekends.

Salary Structure

Salary offer will be dependent on experience and calculated transparently with the final candidate using an equitable salary calculator used by RVC. We believe in work-life balance, and are committed to keeping the workload in alignment with the true hours worked. 

Background Check
