The Refugees and Immigrants Week presented by: The CONGOLESE INTEGRATION NETWORK

The Refugees and Immigrants Week is conceptualized as a week-long international celebration of our cultural diversity through talents such as Art, Music, Dance, Sports, Theater and Story Telling. This prestigious international event is presented by The CONGOLESE INTEGRATION NETWORK brings together representatives of a wide range refugees and immigrant communities with cultures from all over the Globe.

The Refugees and Immigrants Week is one the world’s most culturally diverse event featuring delegates who aim to share common values and foster local and international friendship while learning about our rich heritage. Therefore, the people we used to be yesterday introduced us to the People we are today, which makes us strive and excel for the People we will become tomorrow.

On June 24th the U.S. Supreme Court held that the Constitution of the United States does not confer any right to abortion, and overruled both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. 

Surge Reproductive Justice is holding this space centering QTBIPOC and for the BIPOC community to connect with one another, share culture, and build a collective strategy in response to the ongoing attacks on bodily autonomy tat we see from legislation.

If you are looking to into a strategy that: 

  • Centers and follows the lead of Queer and Trans BIPOC communities
  • Organizes for self determination and bodily autonomy
  • Acknowledges that in order for us to achieve bodily autonomy we need to address the intersection of racism, sexism, and classism

Then please register for the Post-Roe Community Discussion on Tuesday, July 12th at 6 PM PDT to be a part of this community process. (QTBIPOC centered BIPOC ONLY)

API Chaya is hosting a Hindi-speaking healing circle for 18+ survivors of domestic violence on Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm from August 3 to September 21. Register by July 8. For more information, contact [email protected] or [email protected]

QLaw Foundation of Washington is hosting a public launch of their Trans Legal Clinic. It’ll be on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7 PM – 9 PM PST. The next upcoming clinic is on July 26th.
