Vu’s Vegan Roast a success!

On Saturday, Feb. 22, RVC sent off its founding Executive Director, Vu Le, in style. Vu’s Vegan Roast took place at the Seattle Aquarium and featured guest speakers, Vu’s good friends who shed some light on who the real Vu is, as well as a dessert dash and raffle drawings. Guests also got to hear some words from the man of the hour at the end of the night on what his time at RVC has meant to him.

The event was attended by more than 200 people and raised about $60,000, which will go toward:

  • RVC’s Fellowship Programs, which train leaders of color and places them at organizations either led by communities of color or furthering environmental justice.
  • Our Capacity Building Program, which builds capacity through culturally-relevant and customized support for all of our partner organizations, which are all led by communities of color.
  • Our Operations Support Program, a really cool program that centralizes the administrative work of our community-based partners so they have more time and energy to focus on their mission and programs — instead of on Quickbooks!
  • AND MUCH MUCH MORE!

Thank you to all our supporters and attendees. To donate to RVC, please click here.
